General Databases

Databases which cover a wide range of topics and information sources,

including journals, magazines, newspapers, and more.

Off-Campus Access to Databases

NOTE:

Although these databases contain a high percentage of full-text (i.e., complete) articles, not all articles are available.  If the full-text is available, there will be a link to it located underneath the citation.  If not, click the link for "LinkSource" or "Get Article"; this will search our other databases for the article. To use LinkSource or Get Article from off-campus, call 785-628-5283 for the username and password.

If it is found, the article or a link to it will come up in a new window.  If not, you will see "There were no results to display".  In this event, search the online catalog for the print journal.  If the library does not own the issue of the journal you need, you can request it through InterLibrary Loan or Distance Services.   Click here for instructions on finding articles in print and how to request articles.

  InfoTrac Databases

InfoTrac Tutorial2.ppsx

A group of 22 databases, 17 of which can be searched at the same time.  Click the link above, then click on "InfoTrac Databases".  A list with all 22 databases and their descriptions will appear.  Check one or more databases, then click Continue at the top of the page.

To search one of the 5 databases which must be searched separately, scroll down to the bottom of the list and click on the database's title.

Note to non-students:  Many InfoTrac databases are also available to Kansas residents through the State Library of Kansas.  Click here , then click on "Explore Our Online Resources".
